Go out to bars and nightclubs in Las Vegas

In May 2009, I spent three nights in Las Vegas. I thought I had time to do a little poker, test slots and possibly nightclubs. In fact, the latter proved to be so awesome that I have done nothing!

For information, each hotel in Las Vegas (among large, like the Bellagio, the MGM, the Cae sars Palace, Luxor, etc..), You can usually find a casino (poker / slot machines / wheels), a dance bar and a nightclub. If you do well, early evening, the streets of Las Vegas, you can get free tickets for any of the various hotels!

In three nights, we could test with five pals different clubs:

  • The Playboy Club and Moon:

Playboy Club

Our first evening. Personally, I was not super keen on the idea of going there (Located in the Palms). A nightclub Playboy, "mouais" I said to myself, if it is to get together with the readers of this magazine (while imagining the old American bald and fat, perspiring in front of a pin-up disguised as rabbit) ... Having a power of persuasion apparently quite limited with my three friends, we enter the queue of the club.

Pulled up to the bouncers, we must leave our passports. They check that we have 21 years. At 25, it seems flattering! But no. It's just routine, in all places where alcohol is sold. So a council, to save time, prepare your passport, open to the page of your photo.

We arrived at a charming saleswoman at checkout. Re-verification of the passport, and $ 20 for entry. She sticks a stamp on his arm and explains that this allows us to enter two evenings. Ok Directorate the elevator, which brings us within a few seconds to about fifty floors above.

Large room full of slot machines and roulette. Shit, where's our box?! We take a drink, $ 12 cocktails. Of waitresses dressed in pink playboy rabbit run across. She is pretty but nothing more. Looks like Coluche, "Yes they are cute, good enough to be announcers, but they might well have been sellers of waffles!". It is still far from the pin-up magazine. Well we came to dance! We therefore ask the bartender "Hey uh ouai're Zair's Roume waire éveuribodi déne'se? ".

Finally we have to go down the elevator, board a team of bouncers, then climb by another elevator. The idea was to force us to go through a room "casino" to try to make us spend a little money. Hmm ... It's a walk! In short, we finally arrived in LA room, which is the Moon. And there ended the disappointments: A design worked, waitresses more than guns sexy outfits, and most importantly, a magnificent view of Las Vegas at night.

Moon

At the back of the room a beautiful terrace, spacious, on which many vacationers dressed chic admire the view and sip their cocktails. We are moving towards them. Surprise at the end of the terrace, the floor is transparent. The feeling of walking in space is not to go, but I have rarely seen one as beautiful carpets. The room fills with more and more, the MC up the sound ... and follows a pleasant evening.

We are initially surprised by the immobility of people. The music is loud, the full house, and yet, nobody moves. Regardless, we came to have fun: We Dance! This has the merit to entertain U.S. ... We know that we remain a short time in Las Vegas. Around 3am, we decide to change background: Back on the Strip.

  • The RockHouse:

Rockhouse

One reason will be enough to bring us into the RockeHouse: € 5 entry. The hotel does not look, but at this price point, we're getting. We realize immediately that we have radically changed environment. Chic outfits, we turn to baggy, sneakers, t-shirts. Classes of designs, and wanted us to spend mundane walls, black / gray a little dirty. A scantily clad Asian dancer sways in the middle of the room, in a huge tire attached to a chain. The advantage: everyone dances. What to do in the late evening if you want a little fun, but it is better to go in the many boxes classes of the city first.

  • Coyote Ugly:

Coyote Ugly

We have moved quickly in this bar, referring to the movie of the same name, in the early evening (19h). The principle: Waitresses in sexy outfits involve customers (men and women, all ages) in various games that let you earn free drinks. Not my kind of favorite bars, but some seemed to have fun.

  • The Beatles Revolution Lounge (Mirage)

Beatles Revolution Lounge

Bar / box carefully designed, we had an early evening (22h - midnight) very nice. Class but casual atmosphere, perfect for a drink, and begin to dance on the floor in the early evening.

  • The Pure (the best!)
http://www.destination360.com/north-america/us/nevada/las-vegas/images/s/las-vegas-pure.jpg

Pure Nightclub

Nightclub at Caesar Palace hotel where we were staying, it is the clubs most spacious in the city where we went: 3 or 4 rooms downstairs (I remember getting a little old), and a large terrace, very nice, upstairs. In each room plays well on a different music. Of dance / cabaret are given in a room at set times. We spent two very pleasant evenings! In prices, this memory was correct, below Paris prices: $ 7 beer and $ 10 consos the 'hard'. "The Best"! :)

In May 2010 I returned to Las Vegas, where I still had a great evening:

  • The LAX

LAX Nightclub

For me the best night I spent in Las Vegas, but I must admit that I was in very good company. This may have affected my judgment :)
The box is not as great as the Pure, but the room is class 2 floors and the sound quality is. As I tried to focus only on the nightclub, I still say it's one of the best that I could go to the U.S.. Atmosphere much like the Duplex in Paris. Price level, it takes $ 10 for a classic consolidated, $ 15 for a vodka - redbull.

Play tennis in Paris

Roland Garros made you want to play the apprentice Rafael Nadal (Maybe not him this year ...) Roger Federer? If you live in Paris or the Paris region, many tennis courts are available for very attractive prices.

Jouez au tennis sur Paris!
Play tennis on Paris!
  • 6 € 50 for outdoor courts, see 4 € reduced price *.
  • 12 € 50 for indoor courts, 7 € * reduced price.

It is also possible to take cards including 10 hours of game prices are then:

  • € 50 for the outdoor courts, reduced price € 28 * (ie 5 € / h, or 2 € 80 / h).
  • € 100 for indoor courts, 53 € * reduced price (10 € / h, or 5 € 30 / h).

* The discounted rate is reserved to the people of Paris less than 26 years.

Therefore very low cost when compared to thirty euros that require some gyms like Forest Hill Paris for 1h on a short game!

To access information and reservations for various tennis courts available, a website was set up: Paris Tennis . The site registration is mandatory but is very fast.

Once registered and logged in, you can choose when and where you want to play. The short list of available according to your criteria are displayed. Be careful though, in times of good weather, all courts are often reserved. So two tricks to avoid being duped:

  • The short opens booking one week in advance. So be the first to book the court! If you want to book a Wednesday afternoon, one must log onto the site on Wednesday morning of last week. Early on, courts are often available.
  • It is not very penalizing for a registrant to miss a reservation. So often, if time gate at midday, or if there are problems in public transport, you can be certain (or almost ... Well 90% of the time in my experience staff. The 10% the remaining time, come home to unwind in jogging ;) ) To find a short available without a reservation. Then simply arrive a good 20 minutes before the start time and introduce you to take home for the first tennis court released.

Regarding the quality of land, I confess that I have to test that the courts Faluère, near the Bois de Vincennes, which are in very good condition. The person who introduced me to this site has tested several others in Paris and has apparently never been disappointed.

A good plan!

Club Med World - Paris Bercy

I made a few evenings in the Parisian nightclub, mainly on Saturday nights. For those looking to try it, here is my opinion:

  1. The room:
    • Quite spacious, it is rare to miss much room for dancing. Beware, there is no 10m ² per person, but for a box of Paris, it is "comfortable".
    • Another plus, you can sit without having to pay a bottle. Tables and chairs from the restaurant are indeed available, next to the toilet. This is not the super class but it's still nice, especially that there are still seats free. For those who can afford and prefer to be a VIP banquettes are available behind the bar.
    • For exhibitionists, no pot by cons, no podium is in the room!
  2. The bar:
    • The barmaids / barmen are often pros! If you ask several cocktails, they will blow up the ice, bottles and glasses in all directions. It throws!
    • Caution: A ticket system was implemented. It is rather odd, and I have not yet grasped the usefulness of the thing. Must first go to buy tickets to fund at each end of bar. Then you can exchange these vouchers against consumption. No need to line up directly in front of the bartender without a ticket, it will profit you nothing!
    • The redbull is a full-fledged consumer! A vodka / redbull and account for 2 drinks, or 20 €, that was a little hp (i) st ...
  3. Music: All parties on Saturday night I made were beautiful have a different name (Lovely girl, the ball singles, night meetings, etc..), The music did not change. The club med world wants to please everyone, the music is so general. In general, we feel a strong dominance in the house, rap and rnb. A small shift of 4/5 pieces of oriental music occurs during the evening. In short, there's something for everyone, but it is better to be heterogeneous bursting without interruption. No tektonick around, that's cool.
  4. The average age: 20/25 years, largely dominated the room. The 26/30 years are also still present.
  5. Prices: 20 € entry with a drink, 25 € with 2 drinks, and 31 € for 3 consos.

In conclusion, a very nice box where you can go dancing with friends with different tastes. Note that for those living in southern Paris region, this box is geographically well located.

The address:

CLUB MED WORLD
Bercy Village - 39, Paris Saint Emilion Court 12th
Metro (line 14): Cour St Emilion
Parking near Saint Emilion Bercy (6 euros per night from 19h to 5am)
Access through the doorway and then Paris Bercy Centre

London: Museum of Madame Thussaud

I just returned from a 4 day trip to London. I'll take the opportunity to share my impressions of the museum Madame Thussaud, which seems to have become a must-see attraction of the English capital.

I'll start with the negatives, because that is where you will start your probably also visit:

- Waiting time. A Monday of February, arriving at 10am, he has certainly had one hour to arrive at the checkout. The queue is organized as in amusement parks: a kind of labyrinth, which hides miles of mysterious ways that one must pass to get from one end to another. Those who arrived after we have certainly waited much longer, the line extending much further when we had taken the first step.

- The price. £ 25 for one entry. While virtually every other city museums are free, it hurts the wallet!

Once these surprises behind us, the visit was at least entertaining. The museum is divided into several rooms, each with a theme particularly well. In order, you will find the rooms:

  1. "Opening Night": The movie stars, fashion and some of the song. You can put alongside Cameron Diaz, George Clooney, Johnny Depp, Mel Gibson, Julia Roberts, Will Smith, Jennifer Aniston, the couple Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie, Drew Barrymore, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, Samuel L. Jackson, Nicolas Cage, Colin Farrell and more ... If you do not want to spend a clown on your photos, it is best to come well dressed: the stars are all in evening dress.
  2. Room mixed with some familiar faces from Hollywood blockbusters to: Spiderman, Hulk, Shrek, Terminator, among others, but also the three biggest stars of Bollywood: Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai and Amitabh Bachchan. At the back of the room, a staircase where you will meet Hitchcock takes you to the next room.
  3. The third room is dedicated to the sport's most famous in recent years. Are present including the rugby player Jonah Lomu, David Beckham and boxer Muhammad Ali.
  4. Following on from this room, a corner where there are some scientists (Albert Einstein), then some special music. In a sofa, the Beatles were a happy pose. Facing them is a scene with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. It even has the right to a dance show! 3 blondes young dancers in the flesh, came on stage and danced a few songs. Entertaining, you have to have good timing! :)
  5. Then you leave this room to the right to enter the hall dedicated to political figures. Funny thing, all these statues are placed on the elevating slabs several inches over visitors.
  6. The hall of horror and the history of London. I leave with you surprised to discover these attractions, which have a good time.
  7. A special room 007.
  8. The historical museum Madame Thussaud. For the curious, this room presents methods for confections of wax effigies.
  9. The classic souvenir shop.

In conclusion, we must see this museum as a small amusement park: he must be patient, it's expensive, but it's fun. And I must admit that when we take a picture may seem like a near Cameron Diaz ...

It's still ... nice : D
